BOW VALLEY BRANCH - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
AGM Invitation
The Bow Valley Branch of the Navy League of Canada invites all members and parents to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, November 21st at 6:45 PM, held at the Heritage Christian Academy. Coffee and snacks will be available before the meeting.
Meeting Schedule Change
In the previous AGM held in May 2024, it was decided to move the Annual General Meetings to November each year. This change aims to better align with the operational calendar.
Purpose of the AGM
The AGM is essential for reviewing financial statements for the past and upcoming year, and for voting in new Board members. The Bow Valley Branch, a volunteer parent-led board, manages the business and financial aspects of the corps, supporting activities for the 335 Calgary Royal Canadian Sea Cadets and 166 John A Hamilton Navy League Cadets.
Call for Volunteers
The Board is actively seeking volunteers to join, with a commitment of one meeting per month (approximately 2 hours). Adequate attendance is necessary to meet quorum requirements for the voting process.
Reports and Documentation
Reports from the Commanding Officers of both the Sea Cadets and Navy League programs will be presented. Attendees are encouraged to review the attached AGM Agenda and the minutes from the previous AGM held in May 2024.
